Our curriculum is designed to meet the individual needs of every student. In School of Scholars, we focus on building a strong foundation of basic skills such as colors, numbers, shapes, and letters. As students progress through the elementary grades, our curriculum expands to include science, social studies, language arts, and math.

AboutOur Management

Mrs. S Porkodi



S Porkodi was born to Mr. Suriyamoorthi and Mrs. Suriyagandhi who were both teachers in Eriyur. She did her schooling in Eriyur, Alavakottai, and Tirupattur. She completed her M.Sc M. Ed and is an alumnus of American College, Madurai, and Gandhigram University, Dindigul.

She has worked in different CBSE Schools like Navodaya Vidyalayas as a teacher in different states like Jammu Kashmir, Punjab, and Maharashtra. She was the Managing Director of Shakthi’s Tutorial, an institution for tutoring C.B.S.E students for various competitive examinations in Maharashtra. Giving wonderful results in examinations like Science Olympiads, Math Olympiads, Maharashtra State Scholarship, NTSE, MTSE, etc. Shakti’s Tutorial soon grew popular as one of the leading coaching centers in the city.

Porkodi has 30 years of experience in coaching CBSE students and many students of Shakti’s Tutorials are studying in top medical colleges like AIIMS, JJ Medical College Mumbai, KEM College, etc.

Shri. M Lakshmanan



M Lakshmanan was born in a farmer’s family in Mampatti village of Tamilnadu to Mr. Masilamani and Mrs. Vairam. He grew up as a very hard-working child and was interested in mathematics since his childhood. He was one of the very few people holding a master’s from his native village. He studied M.Sc B.Ed. with Masters’s in Mathematics. He is an alumnus of Annamalai University, Chidambaram.

He started his career working as a Mathematics Teacher in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti in 1990. He grew popular as a mathematics teacher in Jammu & Kashmir and the Chandigarh region of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. He was promoted to Principal of Navodaya Vidyalaya where he led an adventurous role as an administrator in Chandigarh Region and Pune Region, after which he got promoted to Assistant Commissioner in the Regional Office, Bhopal as the A.C. for School Administration.

His administrative skills and good service nature were highly notable and highly appreciated by various stakeholders and other administrators throughout his career.

He always had a thought in mind to give Urban standard education equal to the Navodaya Vidyalayas in the area where he was born. With an idea to provide good quality education, he started the School of Scholars, in Alavakottai.
